New Adventures

Well, coupled with the warm weather beginning, this term is ending. I can't say it passed quickly, because for some strange reason, these last two weeks have felt unbelievably long... but overall, the class has been absolutely fun, educational and a lot of work. Kudos to our instructor, Professor Heather Tolen! You truly made the class bearable and entertaining for me. You've got an easy to get to know you style... don't lose that! There are many students who (do or will) need that kind of spirit to sprout and grow.

I bid everyone God's speed as we go forward with the assurance that we each will complete our courses with the success that will serve as the wind in our sails toward our new career endeavors! I'd like to think that we may cross paths again in other classes, but if not it has been a pleasure getting to know each of you this term. I wish you all the very best!

KayMay found her teeth and she's happy, so this term has been quite prosperous for all, don't you think?

My Teeth!

Wouldn't you know it! My choppers were in the last place I could imagine... and I'm almost ashamed to say... they were mixed in my bedsheets down near the bottom of the bed. I can't begin to tell how they got there, but I'm sure glad I found them. Now I can enjoy some goodies I've been missing!

I wonder if I can get some kind of retractable put on them so when I put them down again and I need them quickly I can just yank on them and they'll pop right into my mouth... that's something I think I'll look into. Oooooh, that caused me to think about my daddy! When my children were little, he used to scare my babies by popping his teeth off his gums to the front of his mouth and then pop them back in place... I used to get so tickled when he would do that! As my children got older they too would laugh at the realization that he was just trying to be funny and not scare them... where's my plate????

My old womanism is really active today; I'm not feeling so great... but a bad day above ground is still a great day! And I am grateful for every one that the Lord blesses me to see and share with others.

I don't have any witty reflections today. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna go grab my blanket and my Bengay and curl back up to get this cool air off my joints. Perhaps tomorrow will be an even better day.

What is it?

How do we manage to end up in the midst of things that just don't make any sense? This has been one of my most prominent thoughts for some time now... is it a result of poor choices? Is it because we really don't know any better? And what about repeat mistakes (the same thing over and over again)... are we really paying attention to what we are doing? Have we really considered all of the consequences of our actions?

I have learned that we feeble human specimens just really forget history -- it keeps repeating itself. Especially the negative aspects of history. I myself am ready for change on the positive side of the ledger! I'm just trying to figure out how to totally erase the negative side of the ledger... is that even possible?

Such a Lovely Breeze Today!

Sitting here doing my watching thing, there is a most irresistable breeze blowing! I almost feel drunk by the sweetness of the flow of the spring air... it feels absolutely wonderful! Makes me think about napping for a while... so if I drop off suddenly, its because I just can not resist it anymore.

I still haven't found my teeth yet, and eating all of this soft stuff and sucking the flavor out of stuff I can't chew down with my gums is getting old! I want to chomp on a ear of corn so bad, I'm almost drooling just thinking about it... and let's not talk about a piece of steak or some BBQ ribs... mmmmm... ooooooh and what about a great mixed garden salad with some delightfully refreshing dressing! And then let's top that off with a colorful, flavorful fruit salad with whipped cream or a nice helping of ice cream!

Is anyone ready for a nap yet? I am........
